About This Park

Park at Expo Idaho Skatepark is the skating area at Ada County's Park at Expo Idaho in Garden City, along the Boise River. The skate area is officially called the All-Wheel Skate Garden. It is for skateboards, bikes, scooters, and roller skates, and it has bowls. California Skateparks built the garden, the same firm behind the 2024 Paris Olympics skate venue. It covers about five acres, per KTVB. It opened October 23, 2026. Hours are sun-up to sun-down, and the park is free. Supervision is recommended for children under 12. Ride at your own risk. Only service animals are allowed inside the garden. Dogs are welcome on a leash in the rest of the park. Pick up after them. A roller derby rink sits nearby. It sits near Glenwood Street and Chinden Boulevard, behind the fairgrounds on the former Les Bois Park site. Two parking lots serve the park. The Remington Street lot is on the southeast side. From Chinden Boulevard, turn onto Kent Lane toward the Expo Idaho grounds, turn right just before the Athletic Club Boise dirt lot, and turn left onto Remington Street after the park signs. The Backstretch Boulevard lot is on the northwest side. From Glenwood Street, turn onto Backstretch Boulevard at the Boise Hawks Stadium and continue to the lot on the left. The park connects directly to the Boise River Greenbelt, and bike racks are on site. More than three miles of nature trails include the Ridge Loop (0.75 miles), the Meadow Loop (0.5 miles), and the Lowland Trails (0.3 miles), with shorter connectors through the Ridges and the Lowlands. Glass containers, smoking, vaping, fires, fireworks, firearms, and fishing are not allowed. Alcohol is limited to approved events. Contests and amplified music need permission from Ada County in advance. Pack litter out or use the waste baskets. Restored wetlands, creeks, and native plants fill the Boise River floodplain, including a 20-acre restoration and more than 1,000 trees, per KTVB. Construction used federal American Rescue Plan Act funds, not local property tax dollars.
