About This Park

Houghton Skatepark is a 5,000-square-foot concrete park on the East Houghton waterfront along the Keweenaw Waterway, built by Spohn Ranch and opened in 2019 after local fundraising and MEDC matching grants. The layout includes quarterpipes, banks, ledges, stairs, and handrails with views toward Mont Ripley. The free park is walkable from downtown Houghton and is typically snow-covered in winter.
