About This Park

Bishop DIY Skatepark is a community-built concrete skate spot at 6017 Grand River Avenue behind the former Northwestern High School in Detroit, born after the Wig DIY was demolished in 2019. Local skaters, BMX riders, and inline bladers expanded the layout with rails, boxes, quarterpipes, and murals with support from Community Push. The free unsupervised park is open whenever conditions allow.
